Task Groups

Members are encouraged to participate in various task groups to help contribute to the upkeep of the club facilities. Participants will receive a refund from their membership upon complete their required number of hours.

Each task group will have a leader, who will report on a regular basis to the executive. Group leaders will be chosen by the members of that task group. The task group will prepare a budget for their particular activity. After approval, the task group will carrying out that activity for the membership year.

The role of the executive will be to function as an “executive” body – overseeing all club activities, identifying task groups that are not working well and helping them, managing the budget, and coordinating task groups. As will be evident in the following proposal, task groups cannot function in isolation. It is anticipated that task group leaders will come to some executive meetings.

Tasks needing volunteers include:

  1. Club racing coordinator
  2. Regatta racing coordinator
  3. Promotions
  4. Barge/safety boat coordinator
  5. Social coordinator
